In her superb book "Writing Down the Bones, " Natalie Golberg says, "Choose your tools carefully, but not so carefully that you end up spending more time on the stationery than at the desk."

In business, we often spend more time choosing the right management tool than we do managing. I have seen it in companies perfecting their control spreadsheets for months while not controlling anything; or in professionals preparing the best CRM while not calling their potential clients, for example.

This is also procrastination.
